Japanese Vegetable Gyoza

I've seen these gluten free gyoza floating around on the coeliac pages for a while now, but have never had any luck in spotting them in my local stores, until this week, when I was walking past the asian freezer section, and there they were! Silly me had been looking for them in the gluten free freezer!

The instructions on the pack were so easy to follow, and even though I was a bit nervous about them burning while waiting for the crust to form, they cooked just as promised.

One thing I didn't manage to do, was flip them out of the pan without breaking the crust, but even still, I'm calling these a big success.

I also found they are much tastier than the previous brand of vegetable gyoza that I was buying. These are also more affordable, with more in the pack for the same price - and I call that a gluten free win!

Miss 12 usually doesn't like vegetable gyoza, but these, she really enjoyed, and said she would happily eat them again! She still prefers prawn dumplings, but she said these are a close second!

They didn't come with a sauce, but they honestly didn't need one, and I think it might even take away from how good they are - I will definitely have a pack of these in the freezer for emergency quick dinners (or you know, a Tuesday).

Purchased from Woolworths, $9.95. Price and product link correct as of April 2025.
